Going back to my research on different music magazines, I have been given the task to compare two music magazine brands and investigate their respective websites. I compared them both and made a comment on what their websites feature, how easy it is to navigate, the style of language they use, what it looks like compared to the other brand's magazine, what it looks like compared to the brands own respective magazine, and looked up sales figures over the past two years for both magazines. The image on the right shows you both websites for Mojo and Kerrang, the two brands I decided to observe.

I had printed out 20 copies of my music magazine questionnaire and have got them filled out by 20 different people from my target audience. I then made a version of this in Excel as it is easier to analyse. I made graphs and charts of my questionnaire results and wrote a paragraph concluding my results for each chart/graph underneath each one. The image on the right contains some of my results summarised in a chart, although there are many more charts but you can't see them.

My task now is to create a music magazine questionnaire that will be eventually filled out by 20 people from my target audience that I will hand them out to. I will ask questions about my music magazine front cover, asking them features that they will like to see in it and what colours, fonts, images they like to see in it as well.

I needed to take some pictures of my own creation of a music group for my magazine. I made a photo shoot plan that I will stick to in order to get me organised for my photo shoot. Details included where it would be and how many people I took pictures of. I borrowed a camera for this task from the Media room. My friends volunteered so I got them to meet up at Dartford park, the scene for my photo shoot, and I took plenty of pictures of them all. On the right is an image of a small selection of the photos I took that day.

I have been given the task to create a music magazine proposal for my main project. This music magazine proposal will include details about what will feature on my front cover and double page spread. Once this was completed I made draft designs for the front cover, double page spread and even the contents page. I done these drafts by hand, using a pencil and paper.

I have completed my school magazine front cover. The image underneath shows this, hope you like it!

I have completed making my draft designs for my school magazine's front cover and contents page. I have collated the two A4 documents onto an A3 piece of paper. Now my drafts are done I am going to start designing the front cover. By the end of the lesson I had finished laying out the masthead and image, ready to complete next lesson.

I borrowed a camera from the media room and set out to take 6 different pictures that will form a short and simple story. I used Tasha, India and Sophie (classmates) as my models and took the pictures. When I got back to class I imported all images off the camera onto to the computer. I then put my six images into a word document and wrote a little sentence under each image telling the story.
